Hello everyone,

I am so happy to announce that my Qi Gong instructor has agreed to offer a free Qi Gong Introductory Workshop on Thursday March 15th, 7-8pm at Dovercourt House, 3rd floor. We will start shortly after Zumba. This class is open to anyone who wishes to attend, so feel free to pass this email along to your friends and family.

I have been taking Qi Gong classes since last summer with Dao Shi at STQI school near Dundas and Spadina, and I haven’t been this excited about a practice, since I first discovered Zumba! That says a lot. For me, Qi Gong is introducing me to a whole new way of experiencing my body. I would describe it as a form of moving meditation with slow flowing movement and rhythmic breathing that feel very relaxing.

Qi Gong is a gentle form of exercise that is beneficial for physical and psychological well being and healing. I want to bring this to you so that you are introduced to some simple yet powerful techniques that can help you live an even better life. Trust me, you will get something out of this class. Don’t miss this opportunity!

About the instructor:

Since 2011 Dao has opened a school in the downtown Toronto area and has had the privilege to teach Shaolin philosophy and martial arts to thousands of people across various disciplines including Sitting Meditation, Ch’an Philosophy, Shaolin qi gong, Shaolin kung fu, Shaolin style sanda /Chinese boxing, and self defense. He has made several television guest appearances, most notably on CBC’s feature called Masters of the City, Keepers of an Ancient Culture.
